Veterinary Biostatistics Course VHM 8010 at AVC - Fall Semester 2026
Welcome to the homepage of the biostats course VHM 801 at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) within the
University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI).
At present the page contains essentially only the (preliminary) course and exam dates
and a note about choice of textbook for the course, but it will be updated
continuously towards and during the course. Hope to see you back later.

Based on the current recommendations from UPEI, the
plan is for a course with all sessions conducted in-person. Plans may be
revised at any time as necessary based on recommendations from UPEI and the Public Health Office
of PEI.
Preliminary schedule for the Fall Semester 2026:
- lectures (L) on Thursdays, 9:00-11:00am in AVC 278N:
- first lecture on Sep 3, last lecture on Dec 3,
- labs/practicals (P) on Fridays 1:00pm-3:00pm in the large computer lab (AVC 218S):
- first lab on Sep 4, last lab on Dec 4,
(Note: a change from the original plan, which had labs on Mondays)
- optional lab reviews (R) on Tuesdays 1:00pm-2:30pm in AVC 278N,
- first lab review on Sep 8, last lab review on Dec 1,
- final exam on Monday Dec 14, 9:00am-12:00pm,
- (exam date is preliminary and awaits confirmation of room booking).
