Biostatistics Course VHM 802 (VHM-8020-1) at AVC - Winter Semester 2025
Welcome to the homepage of VHM 802: Advanced Veterinary Biostatistics, last updated 25/4 2025.
In 2025, the course will only be run as a separate course, because VHM
812 (Epidemiology II) is not offered. All students who have not already taken VHM 812 in a previous year, will take VHM 802
for 3 credits. The course schedule is however conveniently structured in a similar way as when the course is shared with VHM 812.
Course work and exam
- home assignments (40%; Instructions for home assignments and exam):
- Multiple linear regression: Additional exercise 2.9, due 31/1 (only for students not combining VHM 802 with VHM 812),
- Multiple logistic regression: Additional exercise 4.4, due 20/2 (only for students not combining VHM 802 with VHM 812),
- Multifactorial analysis: GO Problem 10.6, due 3/3,
- Experimental design and analysis: GO Problem 13.4 (with characterization of the experimental design), due 17/3,
- Random effects models: GO Problem 16.5, due 27/3,
- Repeated measures models: Additional exercise 10.12, due 7/4.
- project (30%): outline due: March 17;
seminars on April 10; report due: April 9.
- final exam (30%, open book): Wednesday, April 16, 9am-12pm, AVC 278N. Solution
